After Mrs. Doyle is announced as the winner of Eoin McLove's poetry contest, Mrs Boyle confronts her in the supermarket while the latter is buying tea for her guest. Boyle slides over to her ominously and opens the conversation with the classic line: "When's he coming?", causing Mrs. Doyle to suddenly jump.
While determined to not give away when Eoin's arriving on Craggy Island, Mrs. Boyle goes through the days from Thursday - Sunday, causing Mrs. Doyle to twitch her eye on the last day, catching her out. The latter begs the other to not tell this to anyone, whom she swears on on her life that she won't...only to instantly get on the telephone, send morse code and use messenger pigeons to tell every middle-aged person on the island that the TV personality will be at the parochial house on Sunday.
